President of RTU & Associates, Inc., a firm which specializes in benefits and actuarial consulting and provides the following services, among others:

  • Design, implementation and administration of all types of pension plans;
  • Development of computer programs for employee benefit plan administration;
  • Actuarial calculations to determine group insurance reserves;
  • Performing required non-discrimination tests on employee benefit programs for compliance with federal statutes.

1993-1994:
Powell Townsend & Associates – performed all aspects of employee benefit consulting including technical and client consulting work for a variety of clients.

1992-1993:
Malcolm Thompson, Magaro & Associates – performed all aspects of employee benefit consulting including technical and client consulting work; developed computer programs for employee benefit plan administration.

1974-1992:
William M. Mercer Consulting – was the Senior Manager in charge of the Actuarial Department responsible for various defined benefit plan assignments, including actuarial valuations, special studies, asset/liability modeling, client consulting, compliance with accounting standards, etc. Also responsible for the management and training of actuarial staff. Performed and programmed defined contribution plan allocation and recordkeeping assignments. Performed post-retirement medical valuations, pricing for flexible compensation plans, COBRA pricing and group insurance analyses..
